Established in 1977, the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame honors professional speakers who have reached the top echelon of platform excellence. Inductees are evaluated by their peers through a rigorous and demanding process. Each candidate must demonstrate mastery in seven categories: material, style, experience, delivery, image, professionalism and communication.
The honor is awarded by the National Speakers Association (NSA), which is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. One hundred fifty of the world's greatest speakers have been inducted including President Ronald Reagan, Art Linkletter, General Colin Powell, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Earl Nightingale, Brian Tracy and Zig Ziglar.
David's father (Dave Yoho, Sr. of Fairfax, VA) was inducted 23 years ago. This was the first time the award had been given to a family member of another recipient. David was introduced by his father during a formal ceremony attended by 2,000 NSA members.
The National Speakers Association (NSA) is the premier organization for experts who speak professionally. NSA members include a variety of industries and disciplines. They reach audiences as trainers, educators, humorists, motivators, consultants and authors.
For more than 25 years, NSA has provided resources and education designed to enhance the business skills and platform performance of professional speakers.
